History/Personality: Wiki Page Would you consider your character to be heroic? Why or why not?: No. He is capable of performing heroic deeds, but that doesn't mean he is a hero.
He once had the potential to be a hero, but his actions in canon have made him one of the most despised villains in the narrative. Once an earnest and just knight, Ser Zephirin suffered from a faltering will and a reluctance to question the word of his superiors. Due to his tempering, it’s debatable how many of his actions were of his own willful doing and to what extent, but it’s clear he has much to atone for.
Powers/Abilities:Dark Knight — Ser Zephirin is competent with a greatsword and is assumed to have some skills analogous to those of Dark Knights. The following skills are demonstrated in-game:
— Lunge Cut: Dark Knight's Plunge. His gap closer. Allows him to leap into the air and towards an enemy, attacking them from above.
— Sacred Slash, Sacred Scourge, and Sacred Blade: Zephirin's version of the basic Dark Knight combo. 3x hits, the second of which restores a marginal amount of MP, while the last recovers a little of his health.
Ishgardian Swordsmanship — He abides by the Ishgardian style of swordsmanship which emphasizes quick movements and the usage of light. He is also capable of leaping great distances in a short amount of time.
— Spiral Heaven: Zephirin swings his sword, shooting out a beam of light that travels across the stage.
— Sacred Braver: Zephirin leaps up into the air and swings his sword twice, causing pillars of light to rain in a line in front of him.
— Seed of Conviction: Zephirin summons radiant swords which follow the target. After a delay, they explode in a radial pattern.
— Reprobation: Zephirin plants three swords of light into the earth which discharge in an asterisk shape, sending beams of light through the stage.
Primal Form — Through tempering by the god-king Thordan, Zephirin is able to assume a primal form: that of an infernal knight in full heavy armor. This form grants him enhanced physical characteristics expected of a primal, and it also allows him to perform the following abilities:
— Spear of Fury: Zephirin summons a spear of light which he can hurl like a javelin. An extremely powerful attack that will kill single targets but can be survived if the target stands with other people to share the damage. Also inflicts Infirmary, which lessens the effectiveness of healing magic on the people who are hit. Zephirin can only perform this attack once per battle.
It is capable of shattering shields.
— Sacred Cross: Zephirin gathers aether before unleashing a large circular AOE attack. The damage this attack performs is proportional to how much health he has. If he is tethered to a source of aether, the attack will be more powerful.
— Ultimate End ( obsolete ): An attack which can only be performed under very specific circumstances. Requires the presence of Thordan as well as his Knights Twelve. After an onslaught from each of the knights, all thirteen will perform the Light of Ascalon, a knockback attack that causes a small amount of damage per hit, before Thordan brings his sword down upon the stage. Raidwide damage is dependent on how many people were KO’d earlier in the battle.
— Stealth: He is able to seamlessly slip in and out of primal form, giving him an element of stealth when it comes to hiding his tempering from others.
Inventory: — Shattered Heart: a dark knight’s greatsword crafted by the foremost blacksmiths of the Holy See. Named in reference to his compromised morals — by acceding to the will of his lord, Archbishop Thordan VII, he set aside his own sense of justice. Thus, his heart was forever shattered.
— Ward Knight's Archimandrite Set: a custom set of white platemail crafted by the foremost armorers of the Holy See. Differs slightly from the armor of his shield brothers with the addition of gold accents and a white tail.
